At Auckland Council we offer an opportunity where we help you develop what you have learnt at university and put it into practice in our Engineering, Assets and Technical Advisory Department. You can expect to gain a breadth of experience working across a combination of rotations in our units involving coastal management, landfill management, geotechnical engineering and hazard management, and asset management.
Your time with us will include the opportunity to be exposed to large scale projects in Tāmaki Makaurau as part of your preparation towards chartership with Engineering New Zealand.

He kōrero mōu: About you
We are looking for a passionate graduate who has strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
We welcome applications from graduates with a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an Engineering NZ recognised tertiary providers.
To apply you must:
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand, or eligible to apply for a Post-Study Work Visa
- Have graduated and hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline
- Have a valid NZ restricted driver license with the ability to get your full NZ driver’s license.
