Auckland Council is on a continued and significant transformation journey and as a result has grown to become one of the largest Information Communications and Technology Services (ICT) capabilities in New Zealand. This presents a unique opportunity for an experienced ICT professional to come and join us in this exciting complex and energized environment in a full-time permanent role. 
 

As the ICT Infrastructure Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing effective support, administration and proactive maintenance of Auckland Council’s server infrastructure, applications, data centre and backup environments.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you


It is essential that you have at least 5+ years of experience in a senior operations role within a large enterprise organization.
 

Your advanced skills in Active Directory, DNS, ADFS, Office 365 and Exchange and physical Server infrastructure are paramount for this position and your hands-on exposure in Backups, including Commvault and Actifio, SCCM, WSUS and SCOM are a great advantage. 
 

A high-level knowledge of Storage Area Networks including Hitachi HCP, HPE Synergy, Scality and Nimble as well as iSCSI, NFS and Cifs, along with your comprehensive background in the following areas will contribute to the success in this role:-
•    Windows server 2003 to 2019 
•    VMWare ESXi, Horizon, VCF, VRA, VRO
•    Cloud platforms including Azure and AWS

  • Enterprise Vault  
  • Citrix

 

Since you will be heavily involved in ensuring successful implementation of ICT service related projects, your Business process and re-engineering experience, combined with your strong leadership and competent time management ability will be heavily put into practice.
