As a Facilities Coordinator, your key role is to undertake and assist with the delivery of effective and efficient maintenance works across our stadium network.  Reporting to the Facilities Manager and based primarily at Mt Smart Stadium or North Harbour Stadium, the role plays an integral part in the presentation of our stadiums as fit for purpose, safe, clean and comfortable environments.  This includes the provision and set up of equipment and infrastructure to support any temporary overlay related to the delivery of major events.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in carrying out ongoing preventative maintenance programmes. 
  • Schedule regular maintenance activities.
  • Prioritise and ensure the effective resolution of daily maintenance requests. 
  • Perform and communicate routine maintenance tasks.
  • Act as the onsite stadium contact for contractors undertaking all building and utility maintenance works.
  • Carry out building and utility inspections and checks prior to events.
  • Coordinate the utility-related response activities of ancillary service providers at events.
  • Order and install any temporary infrastructure and utilities required for events and ensure their effective operation during events.
  • Assist with traffic management and parking on non-event days.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you
 

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in general maintenance of facilities.  You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of performing routine maintenance and repair work for buildings and job sites.  You will be experienced using Microsoft’s suite of applications.

  • A “client focused’ attitude and able to build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent written, computer and verbal communications skills.
  • Able to pro-actively assess risks and issues, critically evaluate, and identify solutions.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and contribute positively
  • Highly organised, ability to work to tight deadlines at times; and
  • Previous experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other Enterprise Resource Management Systems (ERMS), e.g. SAP or similar, is preferred.

This is a permanent position of 40 hours per week generally from Monday – Friday but given the nature of events, out of hours and weekend work will be required. Having the flexibility to work public holidays and after hours as required is key.  We have two positions available with one based at Mt Smart Stadium or North Harbour Stadium, but there is an expectation to work across our network of stadium venues as required, as well as any other Auckland Unlimited venue or facility.
