He angitūtanga: The opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to become part of the Botany Library team as Libraries & Council Service Assistant. While based at Botany Library, you will need to have the flexibility to work across all our Howick Local Board libraries.

 

This is a permanent part-time 24 hours position per week. Current work shift below but flexibility may be required:

  • Thursday (late night weekly or biweekly), Friday, Saturday, and Monday (6 hours/day).

 

We are a focused and committed team who take pride in delivery excellence in customer experience. Our libraries and council service assistants play a vital role in contributing to digital literacy, community outreach and reading programmes with our tamariki and rangatahi.

You will have strong people skills, are flexible and adaptable to our learning library environment. You have a passion for customer service with a positive attitude to serving people of all ages and backgrounds.  You are eager to learn new skills and thrive in a busy work environment.

  • Understands and uses technology with confidence
  • Is reliable, enjoys fostering great relationships with our community
  • Can demonstrate experience working with a diverse range of people

Target Salary: 57k – 60k (depending on skills and experience)
