He angitūtanga: The opportunity
 
Situated in our Howick Leisure Centre, as a Casual Recreation Assistant, no two days will be the same! You’ll help us deliver an exciting range of community fitness and school holiday programmes, from skating, to inline hockey, to boxing and more!
 
In this frontline role, you will provide exceptional service to our customers and visitors whilst supporting the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children aged 5-12.
 
He kōrero mōu: About you
 
You’ll already be passionate about sports and recreation, and ready to step into a frontline customer service role. It goes without saying that you’ll be responsible when it comes to working with children. You’ll have a flexible approach and be able to use your initiative to facilitate suitable programmes for kids. An enthusiastic team player, you’ll have a positive attitude and infectious energy, and be committed to providing your customers with an exceptional experience.  

 

If you're currently studying Education or have experience with Basketball and/or Gymnastics, your skills will be advantageous in this role. 
 
Ideally, you’ll hold a First Aid Certificate and have an understanding of health and safety procedures. While previous experience working with children is beneficial, it’s not essential. Importantly, you’ll be committed to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work.
