He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Event Security, the Crowd Safety & Event Security Manager’s (CSSM) is responsible for the safeguarding of crowd management, public safety and security protocols in relation to the delivery of events, led by the Event Manager.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • The management of Auckland Stadiums’ security policies and protocols, with regards to the onsite technical production activities of venue hirers, during pack in and pack out periods
  • Assisting the event delivery team in the provision and management of resources, equipment and temporary infrastructure for events
  • Maintaining an integrated and collaborative approach to managing health and safety across all elements of event delivery in conjunction with the TAU Risk and Assurance team
  • Supporting the Security Manager in managing daily security operations and establishing, updating and maintaining security policies and procedures to protect the assets of Auckland Stadiums, its employees and guests
  • Managing the Incident Control Point (ICP) on event days as the central control of Crowd Safety operations and Incident Management teams, event delivery functional communications and CCTV operations.

Your interpersonal, communication and organisational skills will be highly leveraged in this role and your ability to build, develop and nurture trust-based relationships will be key to your success.

 

With a keen eye for detail and over 5 years’ experience in supervising events and/or security staff, you will be able to apply level of risk management required to be successful in this role, ensuring the identification, analysis and communication on safety and security related risks at all times.

 

Your leadership skills combined with a customer-centric approach will also ensure contract crowd safety staff are provided clear instructions and responsibilities of their role when working with TAU, to ensure an efficient, responsive and engaged team is established on event days.
