He angitūtanga: The opportunity

The Facility Manager is a key role that supports the wider TAU Property operational, tactical and strategic objectives. The role is responsible for relationship management and commercial advice in relation to facilities, and delivery of both operational and strategic facilities management functions that ensure our facilities are compliant, safe to operate and are fit for purpose.

Reporting to the Head of Asset & Facility Services, you’ll be the subject matter expert for the assets in your area, and help deliver a seamless high performing facility management service. 

As a Facility Manager you’ll oversee the delivery of effective and efficient day to day facility management across our event venues.  In this role, you’ll lead the management of facility maintenance developing a comprehensive understanding of the portfolios’ venue assets. While overseeing the performance of our contractors, you’ll drive continuous improvement and robust Health and Safety practices.  

 You’ll be responsible for managing budgets and ensuring maximisation of value for money and quality while developing and maintaining excellent customer experience and stakeholder relationships.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You’ll have proven relevant experience in facilities management across built spaces alongside expertise in practical asset operational management. You’ll have demonstrable knowledge in project management and/or other specialist subject matter areas, including Health and Safety. 

 As a strong team player and self starter who aspires to excellence, you’ll have a track record of achievement in the property or building industries (preferably in large organisations in the private or public sectors). You will know your assets and how they perform. 

 With strong communication and collaboration skills, you’ll bring capability in report writing and analysis, budget management and financial tracking. Much of your focus will be on managing complex maintenance programs, asset types, compliance of assets along with the ability to drive high performance and value from our suppliers. Ideally, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry gained experience.
