He angitūtanga: The opportunity


Our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office team is growing and we are looking for a Change Manager to join the team a 12-month fixed term.  In this role you will be supporting key initiatives to embed and sustain change that delivers our outcomes. This includes:


  • Understand and develop change management, communications and training to increase engagement and adoption of initiatives
  • Consulting with the business and key stakeholders to develop fit for purpose approaches to embedding change
  • Sharing knowledge and coaching of other change professionals
  • Championing continuous improvement and improved experiences across Tātaki Auckland Unlimited 
  • Support the delivery of the change initiatives, working with the business, either through advice, by assessing resource requirements or delivering change directly.
  • Work with programme leads, project teams and their sponsors to plan and deliver effective change spanning the full programme and project lifecycle as required
  • Tailor change planning and delivery for projects to reduce risks to benefits, business impact and to maximise engagement in the change
  • Take direct responsibility for change planning and delivery across agreed priority initiatives within the portfolio
  • Ensure that change is integrated across affected stakeholder groups and departments/teams by working collaboratively with relevant initiative owners and business leaders
  • Provide change reporting as required, including advice pipeline updates, heat map data, resourcing, risk and status data


He kōrero mōu: About you


You will have excellent communication and time management skills, including a high level of problem solving and decision-making skills, using professional judgement. You will also bring:

  • Industry Change Management qualifications such as PROSCI, IDEO, CCMP, CMI
  • Deep knowledge of business, transformation, organisational change in a large and complex organisational setting, including process, systems and organisational change
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and delivering business change in a variety of settings and amongst impacted groups across multiple business units
  • Experience managing change at the programme level, and ideally portfolio level, including change planning, reporting and managing resources, risk and stakeholder engagement across multiple simultaneous initiatives
  • Experience of driving organisational change in a complex stakeholder and organisational environment through influence and by working through others
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook.
