Central Control Room Operator

•    Play a key role in coordinating day-to-day parking and transport compliance operations
•    Respond to incidents, customer enquiries and service requests
•    Monitor Auckland’s car parks using CCTV and operational systems

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Council has an opportunity for a Central Control Room Operator to join our parking operations team.This is a hands-on operational role responsible for helping manage the day-to-day activity of Auckland’s car parks. Working from the control room, you will respond to customer enquiries, coordinate incidents and service requests, support Duty Officers and field teams, and monitor car park activity using camera and operational systems.

You could expect to:

•    Respond to customer enquiries and escalate matters when required
•    Record, coordinate and monitor incidents and requests for service
•    Dispatch parking officers and car park liaison staff to incidents
•    Monitor car parks and respond proactively to operational issues
•    Support field staff with incident resolution and administrative support

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will bring experience from a control room, customer service, parking, security, transport, enforcement or a similar operational environment. You will be comfortable managing several priorities at once while maintaining accurate records and communicating clearly with customers and operational teams.

We will be looking for:

•    Experience responding to operational incidents or customer service requests
•    Confidence using monitoring, event-logging or operational management systems
•    The ability to coordinate field-based staff and service responses
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Sound judgement when escalating incidents, emergencies or unresolved issues

Experience using SKIDATA, CCTV or car park management systems would be advantageous.

This role has a remuneration range of $67,414 to $79,310
Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered.
