As custodian to some of the most iconic venues, we are New Zealand’s only major integrated performing arts centre, underpinned by a commercial conventions business, with a focus on presenting the best of national and international performing arts, conventions, meetings, and entertainment. As such the Workforce Planner position plays a critical role in building and maintaining the security and safety of all our employees, our customers and our venues across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

 

He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Security & Venues, the Workforce Planner is responsible for effectively administering the workforce management platform within the Security and Visitor Safety division of Auckland Unlimited. This includes Security Attendant rostering, staff leave management, productivity reporting and analytics to provide recommendations on complex information with broad operating latitude while also have a robust approach in the development and execution of capacity planning as a key member of our venue and protection teams.

 

The Workforce Planner will also be responsible in creating forecasts by drawing on historical, judgmental, and driver-based information. Provide analysis and maintain historical data in workforce platform to ensure optimum productivity and operational results are accurately reported for potential impacts to operations which plays a critical part in our ability to service objectives of our organisation.

With your flair for workforce planning coupled with your organisational skills, ability to juggle multiple priorities and your strong attention to detail, you will thrive in this role. You will be highly motivated and will want to use your exceptional human resource expertise, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to make a real difference.


You are strategic and a holistic thinker who can see the bigger picture and can dive into the details to provide recommendations and solutions. You have a proven ability to foster collaborative thinking and experienced in fostering relationships with stakeholders.


Ideally the person we are looking for will have:

  • At least 3 plus years’ experience in workforce planning including using workforce planning systems preferably Humanforce or Time and Attendance
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly experienced in the use of windows-based software applications with a high functional competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management and personal organisational skills.
