He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Ticketing Account Executive to manage clients’ ticketing requirements and for coordinating the activities of Auckland Live’s contracted ticketing service provider, Ticketmaster NZ. This is a busy role, and it involves liaising extensively with colleagues from other departments to ensure events are successfully ticketed and reported on while at the same time ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained with all our clients and patrons.

 

While no two days are the same, under the direction of the Ticketing Operations Manager, we are recruiting for a candidate that can demonstrate:

 

  • The ability to support all aspects of event ticketing, from initial consultation to post-event settlement.  Working with Ticketmaster and Auckland Live’s marketing team to ensure events are effectively marketed and supported.
  • Ensure clients’ event ticketing requirements are correctly implemented and effectively managed.  Providing advice and information pertinent to the unique requirements of each client.
  • Maintain and developing successful relationships with service providers and promoters
  • The ability to review and analyse sales data to produce insightful reports and information for internal and external clients.
  • Contribute to Marketing and Ticketing team operations, and supporting Auckland Live business plans.

With your flair for relationship management, coupled with your organisational skills, ability to juggle multiple priorities and your strong attention to detail, you will thrive in this role. You will be highly motivated and will want to use your exceptional digital expertise, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to make a real difference

 

This opportunity plays an integral role in shaping and influencing our customer base dynamics. To succeed, we are ideally looking for candidates that have:

 

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a ticketing environment and at least one year’s experience managing client relationships.
  • The ability to build relationships and be very customer focused, as this is a front-facing role where you will be liaising with a wide range of staff, event promoters and customers.
  • Experience working with one or more ticketing systems; a knowledge of Ticketmaster host system and CRM platform (Archtics) is desirable.
  • Great attention to detail, an ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
  • An open and collaborative approach and communicative style is essential.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills; competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience and keen interest in working within performing arts or a commercial theatre environment is advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualification in event management or equivalent preferred.

A permanent full-time role, working 40 hours, Monday to Friday. Please note from time to time you will be required to undertake work outside of normal office hours to fulfil Auckland Live's ticketing requirements and support events.
