He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, passionate Audio-Visual professional to join our Technical Production team.


As an experienced AV Technician, you will join our fast-paced team, working across the Auckland Unlimited Theatres, Exhibition and Convention spaces.  No two days will be the same and you will be instrumental in supporting our extraordinary events and help to make them come to life.


Key tasks & responsibilities include:

  • Installing, operating, and maintaining AV production equipment across the Auckland Unlimited organisation.
  • Live Streaming and Hybrid Event setup and operation.
  • Lead AV teams on the floor to provide high quality service for all contracted events within our venues.
  • Broadcast camera systems build and operation.
  • LED walls - build and configuration.
  • Large and Small-Scale Projection systems (stand-alone and blending etc).
  • Basic to Advanced Audio setup and Operation.

He kōrero mōu: About you

  • A solid understanding of the Conferencing or Staging industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years working as an Audio-Visual Technician.
  • Knowledge and experience within Corporate AV and/or the Live Entertainment Industry or Theatre.
  • Able to work autonomously, with the ability to supervise and guide others.
  • Specialist knowledge in Vision technologies, with general knowledge across Audio and Basic Rigging.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Personal Presentation.
  • Excellent customer service skills, this is a client-facing role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
  • Positive, proactive & a team player.
  • Ability to work flexible hours due to the nature of the industry including weekends.
  • Have a friendly, positive nature and enjoy working in a close-knit team.
  • Experience in Cinema Projection (advantageous)
  • A current EWP Licence (advantageous)
  • Able to troubleshoot and fault-find under pressure.
