He angitūtanga: The opportunity
It is an exciting role where you’ll develop and lead our programme of work that will accelerate te reo Māori and help us to ensure te reo is seen and heard across the Customer and Community Services Directorate.
You’ll develop and nurture relationships with mana whenua and mataawaka in this strategic role where you are focused on designing and supporting the programme of work to deliver on the aspirations contained in the Auckland Plan and Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau (our Māori Performance Management Framework).
As the Programme Lead responsible for an annual work programme delivery, you’ll bring together all those involved to collaborate, taking them on the journey with you to progress and achieve te reo Māori outcomes.
He kōrero mōu: About you
Your background will include previous experience in programme management including budget management supported by a qualification in Māori Development or similar. Ideally, you’ll bring experience in the management of multi-faceted, complex and multistakeholder projects within the public sector. You can manage multiple streams of work and deliver across multiple channels while also sharing your proficiency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
Your experience in project planning, budget management, performance monitoring and reporting coupled with your ability to establish and nurture strong partnerships will stand you in good stead.
Your political acumen and understanding of government and local iwi will also be a valued skill.
