Auckland Council’s Group Shared Services division has an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Partner – Executive Search to join the Talent Acquisition team.

 

This is a critical role for the Council and will focus on leading executive search for governance boards, senior leadership, and niche roles across Auckland Council and its Controlled Organisations.

 

You could expect to work on:

· Attraction of highly qualified and experienced leaders to executive and board roles across the Auckland Council group

· Designing bespoke sourcing strategies using market intelligence and executive networks

· Advising selection panels and council committees on fair and transparent recruitment practices

· Providing strategic insights to influence board composition and leadership capability

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and politically astute individual who have led executive recruitment, and sourcing for board members and senior talent for organisations. You will have experience in working in executive search agencies or similar roles within large, complex, and politically sensitive organisations.

 

We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements:

· Minimum 12 years in executive-level recruitment, ideally in agency or public sector settings

· Proven success in executive search and leadership consulting

· Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory skills

· Familiarity with public sector recruitment frameworks and governance protocols

· High proficiency in CRM/ATS platforms and market mapping tools
