Senior Information Security Analyst – Forensic & Risk
Auckland Council is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security team within Group Shared Services. This role focuses on eDiscovery, forensic investigations, and supporting the organisation’s information security risk management work. Your contribution will help protect the information that supports services across Tāmaki Makaurau.
He angitūtanga: The opportunity
In this role, you will carry out eDiscovery requests, support responses to LGOIMA and privacy enquiries, and lead forensic investigations. You will analyse and interpret evidence, safeguard evidential integrity, and engage with internal stakeholders on sensitive matters. You will also help assess and manage information security risks and contribute to ongoing improvements within the security practice.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You will bring strong technical capability and confidence working in investigative and data-sensitive environments. You have experience with tools such as Forensic Toolkit, Splunk, Microsoft Purview, Arctera and X1, along with scripting skills in PowerShell and Python. You also have solid knowledge of Windows, Office365 and Entra, and a good understanding of risk management. A relevant qualification, or equivalent experience, as well as at least five years working in eDiscovery or forensics, will support your success.
