He angitūtanga: The opportunity
As the Site Supervisor for the Refuse Transfer Station, you’ll be responsible for a team of operatives that ensure the smooth transfer of waste to landfill. You’ll ensure the maximum recovery of recycling, make sure that staff is efficiently rostered, and see that the site is maintained to a high standard of safety, compliance and customer services. This role has up to 8 direct reports and requires staff management (recruitment, rostering, performance management etc), oversight of contracts (eg loading/haulage), auditing, and reporting. The Site Supervisor also provides input into the financial planning and management required to operate the facility efficiently and effectively. Weekend work may also be required. He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have at least 5 years of experience in the waste industry or a related field and experience in staff supervision and training and plant operations. A full NZ driver’s license is required (Classes 1, 2, 4, F, W, T). Must have the ability to adapt and work in challenging situations and be able to motivate a team and individuals in a tricky work environment.
