Aucklanders value our environment, and Healthy Waters is all about improving Auckland’s water quality now and for future generations.  Our projects are exciting, and we are big on innovation. Flooding is Auckland’s most frequently occurring natural hazard.  We have opportunities to join our team in a specialist or senior specialist position to help reduce the impacts of flood events on the people of Auckland. You’ll become an integral part of the response to climate change locally and nationally and make a difference to your community.

As part of this role, you will:

•             Manage publication process for Auckland’s Floodplains

•             Ensure quality flood hazard predictions

•             Reduce natural hazard risk in Auckland

•             Manage floodplain technical programme

•             Ensure climate change responses are appropriate

•             Provide public facing information about the flooding hazard in Auckland

•             Input into rules framework to manage risk to life and property from flooding

He kōrero mōu: About you

With a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, you’ll have previous experience in stormwater management and relevant experience in three waters infrastructure sector or equivalent. You’ll also have a passion for improving our natural environment, a thirst for ongoing learning and development and an interest in serving your community.
