He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Project Specialisation Office within Community Facilities, leading project teams to deliver a diverse programme of high risk, high value, capital works projects. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end project management and delivery, as well as maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders such as mana whenua, politicians, user groups, business owners and other customers.


Within your role, you’ll provide technical advice as you lead the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, ensuring thorough project planning, timely reporting, accurate financial control and effective risk management. You’ll also use your expertise to provide coaching and mentoring support to project managers across the region. 

 

He kōrero mōu: About you
 

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll have significant experience in successful capital works delivery (including renewals projects), from business case development and design through to construction contract management and monitoring. You’ll have led multiple project teams and have been responsible for significant budgets of $20 million or more. 


You’ll be well organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively, being savvy to deal with ambiguity whilst making quality decisions in a dynamic, challenging environment. It should go without saying that you have the agility to work cross-functionally with other departments, as well as a passion for the health, safety, and wellbeing of those you work with.


Alongside a collaborative nature and solid relationship management skills, you’ll bring a clear customer service ethic and a sense of personal ownership and responsibility.
