He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

We are looking for two Seinor Project Managers preferably with proven experience delivering large building and venue projects, along with strong knowledge of critical infrastructure systems including electrical, mechanical, fire, structural, and water.

 

In these roles, you will act as client-side Project Managers, planning, scoping and overseeing the delivery of physical works across our venues. You’ll ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards – all within a fast-paced, live environment where the show must go on.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of physical works across our buildings and venues.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets, maintaining clear oversight of timelines and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

You will likely have experience in similar roles from within large, complex building portfolios and potentially local government organisations.  We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements provided below:

 

  • Proven experience in managing venue or building construction or renewal projects
  • High level of technical proficiency or experience in managing building services, façade, weathertightness or general building renewals projects
  • Exceptional technical, project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of the inner workings of large, publicly accessible and/or events buildings and what it takes to keep them open, fully operational, safe and fit-for-purpose
  • Thorough knowledge of the building code, consents and related regulatory requirements
  • Good understanding of Conditions of Contract for Consultancy Services and NZS3910 contracts  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Likes to mentor and share knowledge
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
  • Suitable qualifications in project management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable but experience counts
