He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will act as a key enabler, mentor, and advisor – not a traditional delivery role. This position is about lifting project delivery standards across the organisation by supporting project managers, strengthening our frameworks, and shaping a strong project management culture.

You’ll lead the ongoing enhancement of our enterprise project management framework, drive continuous improvement across our delivery practice using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, Lean, or Six Sigma, and ensure our tools, templates, and processes remain fit for purpose. A key part of your work will involve co-leading the Project Management Community of Practice, improving portfolio reporting and visibility, and collaborating with the Planning & Portfolio Manager to uplift capability and consistency across TAU’s project environment.

Some key work you will be involved in for the next 3-6 months include:

  • Supporting the implementation and enhancement of our project and portfolio management tools
  • Reviewing and refreshing our project management documentation
  • Collaborating with the Planning & Portfolio Manager to improve reporting and coordination across the portfolio
  • Embedding and growing the Community of Practice for project management
