Our region is buzzing with development as Auckland Council delivers the programme that will transform our city into a people-friendly and internationally-competitive destination that we can all be proud of – one that is distinctly Tāmaki Makaurau.  This is a unique opportunity to join our newly created Urban Development communications team as a Senior Marketing Specialist. 

As a senior member of the team, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies, plans and campaigns that support the outcomes of the urban development programme and show how Auckland Council is building a better Auckland.


We’re talking insight-led marketing strategies and plans, leading campaign development, managing campaign relationships with creative and media agencies, meeting budget and reporting requirements, and supporting the creation of content for varied communication channels.

As a marketing and communications professional, this role will utilise your solid and proven strategic communications expertise and flair for developing and delivering clever marketing strategies that inspire and excite. 

Without doubt you’ll be able to build strong, positive relationships in a dynamic and complex environment, and you’ll be well experienced in building partnerships with peers to achieve shared outcomes. A creative thinker, you’ll be solutions focussed with a natural drive to deliver exceptional results.
