We’re excited to share an exciting, fixed term opportunity for a Senior Library and Council Services Assistant and are seeking a resilient and enthusiastic individual to step into the role!


•    Based at Central City Library in the Community Partnerships team, 38 hours a week (including one evening and one weekend day)
•    Part of the Central City Hub team – which also includes these sites – Albert Park Caretaker's Cottage, Ellen Melville Centre and Te Wharekura.
 


He angitūtanga: The opportunity
 
You will be joining the Community Partnerships team, taking on a role in our frontline library service, including delivery of council services, helping support staff in our exciting day-to-day operations - where we can see upwards of two thousand people through the door each day – and supporting the team with our focus on hauora and community well-being across the Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero - Auckland Central City Library, the Central City Hub, and our central city community.

•    A great sense of resilience and ability to navigate challenging situations
•    Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
•    Strong relationship skills
•    Comfortable with technology and able to support customers to successfully use information resources and devices
•    Willing to ‘muck-in’ with the delivery and development of exciting community initiatives 
•    Flexibility and collaboration across all aspects of your mahi
•    Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
•    Knowledge/understanding of Te Ao Māori and a willingness to learn

We are expecting to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $65,000 - $77,000 per annum, depending upon experience.
