Senior Healthy Waters Specialist

As the stormwater subject matter expert, you will assist our Regulatory and growth teams in the review and assessment of development applications by providing specialist stormwater advice for non-standard, large, and/or complex services relating to the proposed building, land use, and subdivision developments.

 

You will take an active lead role in ensuring that satisfactory stormwater network assets are vested and being a critical point of contact for the consenting teams and development community.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join us and work collaboratively with other teams in Healthy Waters and relevant stakeholders in the three waters industry including the wider team in Infrastructure & Environmental Services, Community Facilities, Auckland Transport, and Watercare.  

He kōrero mōu: About you


You will have a qualification in civil or environmental engineering and membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards one). You will have extensive experience in three waters infrastructure sectors or equivalent and experience in the stormwater delivery area. A natural collaborator, you’ll be confident working with multi-disciplinary teams to support or deliver engineering and environmental solutions with multiple social outcomes.

 

While not essential, previous experience working with contracted service providers and other infrastructure providers would be beneficial. 

 

This role is deemed safety-sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
