Are you an experienced travel or tourism professional with a passion for showcasing Tāmaki Makaurau to the world? We’re looking for a Senior Famil Coordinator to join our Tourism team at Tātaki Auckland Unlimited. As Auckland’s Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO), our mission is to grow a vibrant and sustainable visitor economy that benefits our people, environment, and communities. In this role, you’ll design and deliver memorable trade and media famil experiences that bring Auckland’s story to life for international and domestic audiences. You’ll work closely with tourism operators, airlines, restaurants, and key industry partners to create itineraries that highlight our region’s best attractions while building strong relationships across the visitor economy. We’re seeking someone with exceptional communication skills, strong organisation, and the enthusiasm to deliver authentic, world-class Auckland experiences.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and deliver engaging trade and media itineraries that showcase Auckland’s tourism, hospitality, and cultural offerings.
  • Build strong relationships with tourism partners including accommodation , activities, attractions and hospitality partners to ensure seamless delivery of hosted programmes.
  • Coordinate trade and digital communication channels, including our e trade website and trade social media channels to engagement with our international trade partners.
  • Maintain and update tourism product databases, dashboards, and marketing collateral to reflect new experiences and opportunities.
  • Manage logistics, bookings, and procurement for famil programmes, ensuring smooth operations and professional representation of Auckland as a destination.

We’re looking for a dynamic and engaging tourism professional who thrives on creating meaningful connections and delivering exceptional experiences. You’ll need to have a solid background in tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of partners and stakeholders. Organised, proactive, and results-driven, you know how to bring projects to life and deliver on deadlines with professionalism and flair. Strong communication and presentation skills are key — you’ll be confident sharing Auckland’s story with trade, media, and industry audiences.

 

Experience using Salesforce, and an understanding of the tourism or events landscape, will be a real bonus, along with the ability to stay calm, positive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

 

You'll also bring:

 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in tourism, hospitality, marketing, or a related discipline.
