Auckland Council is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the Group Shared Services Programme in the design and implementation of a group-wide shared services model. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of services across multiple functional areas, including Human Resources, Customer Experience, Technology, and Data Services.
As part of this pivotal role, you will focus on process analysis, mapping, financial analysis, performance analysis, and benefits tracking. You will work closely with the GSS Programme Manager and Project Leads, collaborating across teams to ensure seamless delivery and the successful realisation of shared services goals.
Your expertise will drive improvements that enhance service delivery, streamline operations, and bring operational efficiency across the Auckland Council Group.
He kōrero mōu: About You
You are a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Business Analyst with experience in supporting large-scale transformation initiatives. Your expertise spans process mapping, analysis, and financial performance, with the ability to drive the successful design and implementation of shared services. You bring a strong understanding of business analysis frameworks, including Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, and SDLC, and have a keen eye for detail.
You are comfortable working across diverse functional areas, such as Human Resources, Technology Services, and Customer Experience, and you excel at engaging with stakeholders to gather insights and align processes with strategic objectives. Your ability to analyse data, track benefits, and provide actionable insights will be crucial in ensuring the success of the GSS Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead detailed analysis and mapping of current business processes across various functional areas to identify improvement opportunities and drive process standardisation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirements, document processes, and develop service level agreements (SLAs) for shared services.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses, track financial performance, and assess the potential impact of changes on budgets, systems, and operations.
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of benefits resulting from shared services improvements, ensuring they align with strategic goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Promote and implement best practices for process optimization, driving the ongoing improvement of systems, processes, and service delivery.
