We’re looking for a research and evaluation expert who wants to create impact. As a Senior Analyst – Research & Evaluation, you’ll lead and execute projects to measure service performance and community outcomes, helping us understand and enhance the experience of our customers across our department’s services such as libraries, community centres, arts and culture, community development and programming.

This is a fixed term position for 18 months, 40 hours per week, based both in our Albert Street office & from home.

  • Lead the design and delivery of customer experience and evaluation projects that demonstrate community value.
  • Translate findings into clear, compelling narratives that influence decision-making.
  • Partner with leaders and teams to define meaningful input, output, outcome, and impact measures.
  • Ensure all research and evaluation uses ethical, inclusive, and culturally responsive methodologies.
  • Contribute to building confidence and capability in evidence-based planning through coaching and collaboration.

Some key skills and experience we will be looking for include:

  • Advanced research and evaluation skills (qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods).
  • Strong analytical and storytelling ability – able to turn data into insights that drive change.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience delivering complex projects independently.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity in a large public organisation.

Salary:  This role is a band G, we expect to appoint the successful candidate at a salary of $88-$104K depending on skills & experience.
