This is your chance to gain real experience, grow your confidence, and explore what you’re capable of, all while making a positive difference in Tāmaki Makaurau.

We’re looking for dynamic rangatahi who are ready to step up, give things a go, and be part of work that truly matters here at Te Kaunihera - Auckland Council.

We now have fixed-term opportunities across a range of areas, including Technology, Events, Sustainability, Environmental, Emergency Management, and Libraries.

You’re self-motivated, curious, and ready to give things a go. You’re open to learning, growing your skills, and contributing as part of a team.

The ideal candidate:

  • Is seeking to further their experience within an area listed (e.g. technology, events, environmental, customer service, libraries)

  • Is eager to learn and develop practical, transferable skills

  • Works well as part of a team, while also able to take initiative to work independently

  • Possess a positive attitude, pride in your mahi, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone

  • Displays commitment, dedication, hardworking, willingness to learn and reliable.
