He angitūtanga: The opportunity

As a Qualified Partner/ Key Account Lead, you will be responsible for managing the full relationship between Council and Auckland’s key developers through the Auckland Council Qualified Partner and Key Account programmes. The Qualified Partner and Key Account programmes are managed by the Premium Unit - a small, energised, and dynamic team in the Resource Consents Department. The Premium Unit is responsible for managing relationships with Auckland’s key development clients and project managing complex and high-profile resource consents.
Your role will be to build relationships and be the key point of contact for your allocated Qualified Partner and Key Account customers. You will be responsible for managing their forward work programme in respect to resource consents and other regulatory approvals and address any performance issues (internal and external) as they arise. Your Qualified Partner and Key Account customers may change over time but may include large scale home builders and developers, Central Government Departments or Agencies, CCOs and other clients who have a high profile and high volume of development and consenting requirements across Auckland.

•    You are someone with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders. 
•    You will have a degree or postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as planning, or property, and 2 to 3 years leadership experience. 
•    You will have general knowledge of the Resource Management Act and the statutory resource consent process.
•    You will have strong mediation, facilitation, influencing and collaboration capabilities. 
•    You will also have experience in programme management and be comfortable creating and interpreting performance and data reports. 
•    Your experience in the planning/ resource management field and/ or a regulatory consenting and approvals environment would be beneficial. 
•    You can effectively investigate and resolve escalated client complaints and incidents. 
•    You are also experienced working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
