Take the plunge and work with the largest local government organisation in New Zealand as a Project Manager.  This is an exciting time for Auckland Council and Regulatory Services has a vital role to play in Auckland as it recovers from Covid-19.  Help reimagine and drive transformational change across the consenting and licensing businesses, one project at a time! 


In this role, you will be overseeing complex business improvement projects.  You will oversee projects from requirements definition, through design and delivery, and deep into benefits realisation.  There is a clear remit for implementation, leading project management practices, monitoring project delivery, and delivering projects and programs of work.

This is a unique opportunity to be an influential member of a team in the department that is helping to shape and influence the future of Regulatory Services.  This is a busy role in facilitating business improvement projects. You'll build positive relationships across multiple stakeholder groups and facilitate business requirements, negotiate competing demands, and flag risks and issues for speedy resolution. 


To be successful in this role you will have experience in managing complex business improvement projects across people, process, and technology streams.  Good relationship building and influencing skills are essential as is demonstrable communication (written and oral) skills.  A tertiary qualification in programme and/or project management (e.g. Prince2, PMP, CAPM, C3PM, or equivalent) would also be preferred as well as proficiency using SAP and Sentient.
