As a Project Manager under the Digital Services team, you’ll be at the heart of delivering game-changing initiatives that inspire our customers and transform the way we work. Partnering with Product Owners, stakeholders, and delivery teams, you’ll turn ideas into reality—ensuring projects are strategically aligned, high-value, and seamlessly integrated into our Product Roadmaps. This is a role where strategy meets creativity, and where collaboration fuels success. 

 

Reporting to the Digital Delivery Manager, this role will shape project delivery strategies, keep things on track, and champion industry best practice. From engaging stakeholders and facilitating workshops, to embedding solutions, every day will bring new challenges to solve. Your influence will be felt across the organisation as you help drive sustainable, innovative, and measurable results. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the planning, prioritisation, and delivery of digital projects, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and product roadmaps. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to co-design and implement systems, processes, and solutions that meet business and user needs. 
  • Monitor project outcomes, track benefits, manage risks, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practice standards. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert, facilitate workshops and solution validation to deliver effective and sustainable results.

He kōrero mōu: About you 
 

This role will need a seasoned Project Manager with a strong Business Analyst background, capable of leading complex programmes and managing diverse stakeholders. Success in this position relies on expertise in project delivery and a background in business analysis. A proven record of delivering business transformation or change programmes, combined with deep knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and financial tracking, is essential. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, experience navigating public sector structures, and the ability to influence outcomes across teams are key to driving successful results. 

 

Key Skills and Experience 

  • Proven track record in project and programme management with at least 5+ years delivering complex initiatives, ideally in change management or transformation. 
  • Strong Business Analyst background, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design. 
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile, Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana). 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience in the public sector, navigating governance structures, and managing sensitive reputational issues.
