Auckland’s city centre continues to experience an unprecedented level of construction from the public and private sectors. Significant investment in new public spaces and street enhancements is helping create a vibrant city centre.
Auckland Council’s City Centre Programmes Team is looking for a Project Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Manager of Delivery Programmes, you will directly contribute to the transformation of the city centre.
You will be joining us at an exciting time. A significant programme of works is currently underway in Auckland’s midtown area, where planned regeneration will contribute to a vibrant city centre of civic and cultural life in Tāmaki Makaurau, connected by world-class transport.
He kōrero mōu: About you
This is a great opportunity in which to develop, you’ll be supported by a great team and encouraging manager. A requirement for strong technical ability and Project Management experience of 5 years or more will suit this role.
You will need to have experience in the delivery and implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects including managing or supervising multi-discipline consultant teams. You will need to demonstrate experience of strong health & safety and financial management acumen across end-to-end project management functions, from strategic planning to delivery and operation.
Personally, you are able to demonstrate aiming for best practice and achieving customer-centric outcomes and can naturally walk the fine line of influencing and driving results with your stakeholders while maintaining and enhancing positive relationships.
You’ll also need to be willing to develop and build your own confidence and capability to contribute to the organisation’s Māori outcomes framework – Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau and wider vision to be a Treaty Responsive organisation.
