As part of our Strategic Project Team, you will have the opportunity to lead the Coastal and Slips Programme while demonstrating your skills as a subject matter expert, technical leader and champion responsible for ensuring the delivery of industry best practice and pragmatic value-for-money solutions. Working in close collaboration with Engineering Technical Services content matter experts, your focus will be on delivery and assisting in scoping and assessing priorities across the rolling 3-year programme, With a broad remit you will work across the wider Council family, local boards, the governing body and other key stakeholders to achieve tangible results and positive outcomes produced on time, on or under budget and to a high quality. Alongside direct management, internal project delivery and liaising with external suppliers you may also be involved with issue management and the proactive assessment of delivery risk.

He kōrero mōu: About you

Due to the nature of the role, you will have extensive (10+years) programme management/project delivery experience working in multi-disciplinary teams. A core focus on capital works and strategically significant projects is preferred. With proven customer focus and strong relationship management skills, you will be able to easily navigate a wide variety of stakeholder relationships. Alongside an understanding of the working functions and nuances of local and central government, you will be comfortable with change and ambiguity.
