Join our Service Investment and Programming team. We are passionate about producing great outcomes for Aucklanders through developing plans for how we invest in our community services and assets in Tāmaki Makaurau.

 

He angitūtanga: The opportunity 

 

We work closely with local boards and our communities to develop services and spaces that enhance the lives of Aucklanders. As Programme Coordinator you will support significant programmes that contribute towards this outcome. Supporting our Local Parks Management Programme, the Governance Framework Review programme, and other key priorities, you will work closely with programme leads and the Head of Service Investment and Programming. You will coordinate and assist in all programme activities, acting as a central point of contact to assist in the development of advice that will shape our communities now and in the future.

 

The role sits within the Policy, Planning and Governance directorate. Our team advises our decision-makers on where and how the organisation needs to provide community services and facilities. 

 

You will work collaboratively across multiple departments, directorates, and the wider council family to ensure alignment in our advice and recommendations. Your communication, coordination and facilitation skills will be key to this role as well as your ability to build and maintain relationships.

We are looking for a focused and dynamic person with interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others as well as on their own. To thrive in our team you’ll be pro-active, highly collaborative, feel comfortable questioning the status quo and identifying areas that could improve programme outcomes.

 

You will have a strong customer service ethic and an interest in community outcomes. Having the ability to think logically, understand programme interdependencies, and be able to engage proactively is essential to this role.
