He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland Council’s Property Management team has an opportunity for an experienced Programme Coordinator to join our Resilience and Infrastructure division.
Supporting the delivery of a diverse property renewals programme, you will play a key role in coordinating programme activities, monitoring project progress, maintaining governance documentation, and ensuring projects are delivered in line with established frameworks and processes.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team responsible for delivering a broad range of property-related projects across Auckland. The programme consists of numerous concurrent projects, making this a great role for someone who enjoys working across multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable working independently, while building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Day-to-day you could expect to work on:
• Coordinating programme planning, reporting and governance activities across multiple projects
• Monitoring programme performance, including milestones, risks, issues, budgets and delivery progress
• Preparing reports, meeting packs, action registers and project documentation
• Supporting Project Managers and project teams with programme management systems, tools and processes
• Coordinating meetings and maintaining effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across Council

You are an experienced Programme or Project Coordinator who enjoys bringing structure, organisation and momentum to programme delivery. You are confident working within established frameworks and can quickly build credibility with stakeholders through your professionalism, initiative and attention to detail.
We are looking for someone with:
- At least three years' experience in a Programme Coordinator, Project Coordinator or similar role
- Experience supporting the delivery of multiple projects within a structured programme or project environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience in property, construction, infrastructure, asset management, facilities, renewals or local government environments would be advantageous
