The opportunity has arisen to join Auckland Libraries’ Online Engagement team as a Programme Coordinator.
This role plays a key part in bringing our programmes, campaigns and content to life. You’ll support the planning, scheduling and coordination of activities across both digital and physical channels, helping ensure everything is delivered smoothly, on time, and to a high standard. Working under guidance, you’ll assist with the coordination and delivery of engagement activities that promote our online experiences, events, exhibitions and services. You’ll help keep priorities on track, maintain key planning tools such as content calendars, and support the day-to-day delivery of work across the team. You’ll also work closely with internal teams and external partners, contributing to strong collaboration and clear communication that helps maximise engagement with Auckland Libraries.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being organised, working across multiple projects, and playing a vital behind-the-scenes role in making things happen.

This is a 24 hour per week, permanent role with the possibility of moving to 32 hours in future.

You’re highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with a natural ability to keep things moving and on track. You enjoy supporting others, working across multiple pieces of work, and contributing to a team environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines simultaneously
- Is confident supporting the delivery of programmes, campaigns, content and events
- Can maintain and manage content calendars and stakeholder information to support planning and reporting
- Is comfortable providing operational, logistical and administrative support to ensure smooth delivery of activities
- Has strong communication and relationship skills, and can work effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Is digitally confident, with the ability to support website updates, social media coordination and content processes
- Brings a positive, flexible and collaborative approach to their work
- Has a strong customer focus and supports inclusive, welcoming experiences for diverse communities
- Demonstrates an understanding of Te Ao Māori values and principles
This role would suit someone with experience in coordination, administration or programme support who is looking to grow their skills in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.
