Auckland Council’s Procurement team has an exciting new opportunity to join the team on a fixed term basis until December 2025.
As a Procurement Coordinator, you will sit with the Procurement Delivery team responsible for providing procurement support and reporting as a central service to the council.
You’ll manage the sourcing activities for defined low and medium-value buying transactions and overall assist in the delivery of the best “value for money” outcomes for Auckland Council by minimising the time, cost and risk associated with this activity.
You can expect to:
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activity for low/medium value projects
- Increase organisation awareness of procurement processes and guidelines
- Drive sustainable procurement outcomes within all purchasing initiatives
- Become the subject matter expert that helps customers navigate their way through council’s procure to pay systems and tools!
He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have 2-4 years’ experience in similar positions, ideally from within large and complex organisations. Knowledge of the local government environment would also be highly advantageous.
We will also be looking for:
- Experience with contracts and complex procurement processes
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- A high standard of time management and an ability to work under pressure.
- Experience working with SAP, SAP Ariba suite is desirable

The salary range for this role is $63,000-$74,000
