He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

The purpose of the role is to provide advice, support and service to our diverse colleagues and customers, enabling Auckland Council to meet its responsibilities under the Privacy Act 2020 and the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).

 

Reporting to the Privacy and Official Information Manager, key responsibilities include managing, reviewing, and completing responses to privacy and official information requests, investigating privacy breaches and proactive delivery of Auckland Council’s Privacy Programme.

 

This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 24 hours per week.

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

You will have a bachelors’ degree in a relevant discipline such as law, public policy or business. In addition, you should have approximately 3 years’ experience working in a political environment and knowledge of the Privacy Act 2020 and LGOIMA.

 

You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to connect with people from all levels of the organisation.

 

You can deal with sensitive information and understand that information is a taonga (treasure) to be looked after.

 

You will need to have excellent organisational skills, as well as great attention to detail and fantastic verbal and written communication skills. You will possess the ability to deliver information to a range of audiences quickly and in a simple format.
