Our Natural Environment Delivery Team have a brand-new opportunity for a Principal Specialist - Natural Environment Operations to join the team on a fixed term basis.

 

This role will see you provide strategic guidance and specialist advice to support the efficient delivery of conservation outcomes by Natural Environment Delivery staff and co-delivery partners, to budget and on time.

 

Drive team leaders, programme managers and project managers to integrate delivery work plans across Natural Environment Delivery and Natural Environment Specialist Services.  As well as enabling key suppliers to grow their capability and capacity for conservation management. .

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

We are looking for someone who is results focused, has excellent structured project management skills and is willing to solve complicated problems.

 

You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biosecurity, Ecology, Conservation, Environmental Service or related field. With project management experience of physical operations and some field work experience, particularly in an environmental context you will be well versed in strategic planning and process improvement capability.

 

Ideally you will have knowledge of and working experience in the protection and restoration of ecosystems.

 

Please note a full New Zealand driver’s license is required for this role.
