A well-managed Local Government is one of the seven priorities outlined in Auckland Council's Long-Term Plan (LTP) 2024–2034. Group Shared Services (GSS) has been identified as a key strategy to achieve this goal, ensuring consistent, high quality, customer-focussed shared services. GSS aims to integrate common functions across the council group, eliminating duplication and improving consistency.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join our Workplace Support Services team, providing administrative and executive support to senior leaders and business units.

This is a predominantly on-site role based in our City Centre Office, with limited flexibility considered on a case-by-case basis.

 

He kōrero mōu: About you
You will bring strong experience in senior administration, personal or executive assistant roles—ideally within a large, complex organisation. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, provide proactive support, and maintain confidentiality is key to success.


We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience managing diaries, emails, meetings, and events
  • Competence in preparing reports and supporting business operations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and MS Teams
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience working in a team and independently to meet tight deadlines
