Sitting within our innovative People & Culture division, this position will allow you to develop your passion for and knowledge in HR and Payroll Information Systems. 
Joining a friendly and collaborative team, you’ll be responsible for keeping our HRIS up to date, resolving errors, and supporting the payroll team.

We have an exciting short-term opportunity for an exceptional Payroll Administrator. This busy role plays a critical part in providing our people with efficient payroll services. 


Working in a collaborative team focussed on continuous improvement, you’ll be ensuring all payroll transactions are processed according to legislative requirements and in line with Council policies. Some of your responsibilities will include processing employees’ pay and leave requirements accurately, correcting payroll errors, supporting employees and managers with pay queries or issues, and more.

He kōrero mōu: About you 

You'll be passionate and enthusiastic about developing your career in payroll administration. As you’ll frequently be working across several pieces of software, it’s critical that you are computer savvy and able to pick up new systems quickly and accurately. 

You will be working with high volumes of work so you will need to have exceptional attention to detail.  As this role will see you frequently liaising with a range of stakeholders across Council’s business units, you’ll also be a strong verbal and written communicator and customer focussed as well as remain calm under pressure. 

Due to the nature of this role, an appreciation for working within a confidential environment is important.
