He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Parks and Community Facilities team for a Parks & Places Specialist, where you’ll provide operational and specialist parks advice that define service provision and associated development of Community Parks in the Auckland region.

 

As a collaborative, strategically minded individual, you’ll help set service level provision for many of the shared spaces and parks enjoyed by communities of Tāmaki Makaurau.

 
You’ll take the lead in developing strategic assessments that will help set service levels to inform future park development. On any given day you’ll be providing professional, technical and quality advice for parks, defining and developing outcomes and services within parks, considering community needs, and supporting the development of local board work programmes.

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

With solid experience in an advisory or specialist role in the Parks or Recreation area, you’ll be able to demonstrate how you’ve contributed towards business planning and strategic assessments in a parks context. We’re looking for a confident communicator as you’ll be a key point of contact for local boards, which will mean report writing and presenting at meetings. 

 

A New Zealand driver’s license is required.
