We’re looking for an inspiring Operations Manager to join our Animal Management team in a key leadership role. You’ll lead a diverse and passionate group of regulatory specialists, helping them do their best work every day. From shaping strategy to fine-tuning daily operations, you’ll play a big part in making sure our services are safe, effective, and built on trust.

 

This is a chance to step into a role where your ideas matter, your leadership counts, and your impact is felt across the region. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to align people, resources, and processes — all while fostering a positive, inclusive culture that puts wellbeing, innovation, and service excellence at the heart of everything we do.

 

This is a permanent full-time term role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Auckland House, 135 Albert Street, Auckland.

You’re a confident and collaborative leader with deep operational expertise and a strong strategic mindset. You know how to manage complexity, bring people together, and deliver meaningful results — whether it's improving systems, guiding a high-performing team, or shaping long-term plans.

 

With at least 15 years of senior leadership experience in a complex organisation, you’re comfortable balancing people, process, and performance. You understand the importance of compliance, communication, and care — and you lead with all three.

 

You’ll bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or experience in a related field
  • Proven success in managing people, planning resources, and driving results
  • A passion for public service and a commitment to safety, wellbeing, and excellence
  • Legal Services and/or Regulatory services background desirable

Salary ranges from $139,919 and $164,610 plus KiwiSaver and benefits.
