He angitūtanga: The opportunity

As a NOC Infrastructure Engineer, you will ensure the effective support, administration and proactive maintenance of Auckland Council’s ICT Operations environment (24/7/365) which includes server, network, unified communications infrastructure, backend systems applications, and the COE infrastructure.

The key deliverables are to ensure established service levels within the NOC are met with effective Event Management, End to End Service Management (Incident, Change, Tasks, etc.) and proactive monitoring of the ICT Operations environment.

He kōrero mōu: About you

It is essential that you have 3-5 years of experience in a similar infrastructure support role within large enterprise organizations.

Your strong hands-on experience in Windows Server, Storage, Systems Applications, Networking skills, as well as direct involvement in configuration and maintenance are paramount for this role. Your exposure to a wide range of corporate technologies including Windows & Linux Infrastructure, Virtualisation, Desktop technologies, Networking, Citrix, email services (Office 365), VOIP, hardware support, application support, wireless technologies, general office technologies will contribute to your growth in this role, and your demonstrated knowledge in Cloud Technologies is an added advantage.

Since this role will be involved in Problem Management, Change Management, and Major Incident Management, your “can do” and positive attitude, agility, and demonstrated skills in business process and reengineering will also be heavily put into practice.
