Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki strengthens and enriches our community through art and ideas. As a bi-cultural organisation, we make a major contribution to the cultural life of Auckland and Aotearoa New Zealand by collaborating with communities to offer inspiring art experiences that engage and challenge diverse audiences. Established in 1888, the Gallery holds important collections of New Zealand and international art and presents a dynamic programme of temporary exhibitions, public programmes, and educational services.
Gallery Membership is our entry-level fundraising platform, where we connect over 7000 art lovers with artists, arts professionals, and each other, and deliver an exceptional package of benefits. We are seeking a highly organised, technical-savvy problem solver who loves working with people, numbers and systems to give administrative support to our Members, Donors and internal stakeholders.
This is an administrative role with a high level of customer interaction. You will be responsible for database maintenance, sales administration and digital system improvements. You will be the first point of contact for Members and train and support our front-of-house sales team about anything related to membership.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You must have a background in administration, business support or a related field. Experience in a customer service role and in working with a Membership CRM (preferably Salesforce) is required, as is an affinity with art.
You will provide effective administration to ensure the highest standards of service delivery are maintained. You are highly organised, have great attention to detail and are systems savvy. You have the confidence and competence to handle customer queries and complaints tactfully and can identify and escalate (technical) issues quickly. You can represent the Gallery and engage with stakeholders in a professional and knowledgeable way.
If you love art, are efficient and collaborative, and enjoy providing essential support to a small but busy team, this role will suit you.
Key responsibilities
- Provide effective and timely (financial) administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Membership Programme, including processing sign-ups, renewals, refunds, and receipts.
- Be an effective point of contact for customers, including donors, providing excellent customer service.
- Identify any (system) issues impacting delivery and customer service; work closely with TAU Finance and IT to resolve said issues.
- Train and support front-of-house sales reps and other CRM users.
- Support the Team in the delivery of major events (outside office hours, about 4 times per year)

This is a fixed-term, full-time contract (10 months, 40h per week), from October 2025 until August 2026, with the opportunity to extend. You will work Monday to Friday, with the option to work from home for up to two days per week. Occasional evening or weekend work will be required to support the wider team with the delivery of major events (about 4 evenings or weekend days per year).

The salary range for this position is $ 68,000k to $74,000 per annum, skill set and experience dependant. (Band E)
