Lead a high-performing team shaping the future of learning at Auckland Council. As Manager, Learning Pathways, you’ll guide a team of learning professionals to develop scalable, evidence-based learning products and pathways that support capablity uplift, strengthen cultural competence, drive organisaitonal performance, and support kaimahi growth. Your leadership will ensure we deliver learning with heart, impact, and cultural confidence.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of learning pathways and systems that support a high-performing, culturally confident workforce.
- Empower, coach, and develop your team to deliver human-centred, equitable, and high-impact experiences.
- Foster a strong team culture grounded in trust, performance, manaakitanga, and belonging.
- Advocate for and embed Māori outcomes capability across all learning pathways, championing te reo, tikanga, and mātauranga Māori.
- Champion inclusion, accessibility, and excellent people experience to maximise engagement, impact, and equity of access.
- Lead and model agile ways of working across your team and wider stakeholders, embedding practices that support collaboration, adaptability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Drive strong collaboration across the capability ecosystem, leveraging partnerships, supplier networks, and shared insight to optimise value and scale capability outcomes.

You're a strategic and people-focused leader with experience driving learning initiatives across large, complex organisations. You combine commercial acumen with deep empathy for people experience. Agile, innovative, and culturally aware, you champion team development and collaboration, and you model the behaviours you expect from others.
