He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

Auckland Council Group Shared Services’ division has an opportunity for a Manager CCTV and Access Control to lead our dedicated CCTV and Access Control team.

 

This exciting newly established role will oversee Council’s CCTV, access control, and alarm response functions across our significant office and storage portfolio and across numerous community facilities. You’ll play a pivotal role in bringing a higher level of professionalism, capability, and consistency, ensuring these systems are modern, reliable, and fit for purpose.

 

You could expect to work on:

 

  • Leading a team delivering CCTV and Access Control operations
  • Overseeing Council’s CCTV Control Room 
  • Ensuring all systems hardware and software are maintained and upgraded across large, complex sites
  • Embedding best practice operational practices and procedures and building strong stakeholder confidence
  • Developing and maintaining strong commercial supplier relationships and service contracts
  • Supporting operations and sensitive investigations with accurate reporting and technical expertise

This role requires solid leadership experience in CCTV and Access Control systems within large, multi-site organisations. We are looking for someone who can bring extensive expertise, and professionalism to uplift and modernise our security systems.

 

We are looking for specific expertise in:

 

  • Significant experience in managing CCTV and Access Control systems at scale across complex multi-site facilities
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams, raising capability and standards 
  • A deep understanding of CCTV systems, hardware and software is desirable
  • Significant experience working with related technical experts and suppliers - ensuring robust plans for system enhancement, maintenance and ensuring system resilience and reliability
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated outcomes aligned with organisational objectives
  • Applying technical expertise to support investigations and incident response
