We have an exciting opportunity for an empowering leader to join the Policy, Planning and Governance Directorate as the Māori Outcomes Lead. This pivotal role will drive forward our commitment to Māori outcomes, ensuring key strategic priorities align closely with the Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau performance measurement framework.
The Policy, Planning and Governance Directorate ensures that the needs of Aucklanders are met through citizen engagement, advising elected members and developing public policy, strategy, and plans. As the Māori Outcomes Lead within this directorate, you will collaborate closely with the Director and the broader Māori outcomes leadership team, influencing and guiding the directorate’s approach to align with our commitment to Māori wellbeing and success.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You are a proven leader with extensive experience providing strategic and expert leadership and advice. Essential to your success in this role will be your deep understanding of te ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles, and mana whenua and mataawaka in Tāmaki Makaurau.
You will demonstrate a strong ability to build robust partnerships and collaborative relationships within te ao Māori and across diverse stakeholder groups. Your resilience and adeptness in navigating complex environments with deep experience of tikanga Māori will empower you to effectively drive forward our Māori outcomes priorities.
