He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Working as a lifeguard is an opportunity for you to make a real difference in the community. Lifeguards are the key to ensuring a safe environment for our customers and are essential to the successful running of our aquatic facilities.

Pool lifeguards are observant, patient, and good with people. Their skill set means they have the confidence to act in a quick, responsible, and calm way.

As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for:

•    Providing a safe environment through proactive supervision and positive interaction with customers
•    Educating and enforcing pool rules
•    Responding to any First Aid emergencies
•    Ensuring our pool and the surrounding areas are always clean

We are looking for a permanent part time lifeguard working 12 hours a week, working Sunday 2.15 pm to 6:15 pm ( on occasions and due to operational needs, this may change to 9.45am-6.15pm )   and Monday 5 am to 1:30 pm. Please note that the shift is subject to change according to the roster and the needs of the centre, so flexibility is essential.

As our centre operates 7 days a week (varies from 5:30am to 9:00pm), the ability to work early morning, late night, and weekends is vital.
