Auckland Council Libraries has an exciting opportunity for an experienced programme leader to oversee and co-ordinate some key regional programmes and initiatives over the next twelve months. In this role, you will work with a range of stakeholders, to provide programme oversight, guidance, and organisational rigour to ensure programme outcomes are successfully achieved on time.

This role provides an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the successful delivery of Library and Learning Services’ strategic priorities. Working across a diverse portfolio of programmes and initiatives, you will help ensure projects are well governed, effectively coordinated and delivered to a high standard. Your leadership will support teams to achieve shared goals, strengthen organisational capability, and deliver positive outcomes for our customers, communities and stakeholders.

 

 

Ngā kawenga matua: Key responsibilities

  •  Provide programme leadership and oversight for our regional library exhibitions, publishing programme and other priority unit-wide initiatives.
  • Lead programme governance, risk management, reporting and continuous improvement across assigned work programmes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, partners and vendors to support successful delivery.
  • Support the Head of Library and Learning Services with communications on prioritised projects.
  • Support work on goals through ensuring aligned conversations, consistent planning processes, and visibility of inter-dependencies and accountabilities across work programmes.
  • Work closely with the wider leadership team and the programme co-ordinator roles in the unit to ensure work is done at the right level and at the right time.
  • Champion best-practice programme management and customer-focused service outcomes.
