He Angitūtanga | The Opportunity
We’re on the lookout for two dynamic (one permanent full time and one permanent part-time 24 hours per week) Learning Specialists to join the Capability Team at Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau. In this role, you’ll design, curate, and implement learning products and pathways that support a high-performing, capable, and inclusive workforce.Collaborating across our diverse organisation, you’ll help ensure our learning experiences are human-centred, accessible, and future-focused.

Key responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of impactful learning pathways and products aligned to council's strategic goals.
- Apply good practice learning approaches, using tools and technology to support delivery at scale.
- Embed Māori outcomes as well as diversity, equity, and belonging outcomes in all learning design and delivery.
- Work in agile, cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure learning solutions are human-centred, effective, and accessible.
- Leverage insights and data to inform learning strategies and continuously improve delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on best practice learning approaches and workforce capability development.
- Design learning experiences that reflects how adults learn at work.
- Ensure all learning content is clearly documented, professionally branded, and aligned to organisational standards.

With a strong grounding in learning and development, you thrive in complex environments, enjoy working in agile ways, and care deeply about people experience and inclusion. You’re confident using a range of technologies and are experienced in designing and delivering fit-for-purpose learning initiatives.
